Artist Interview with Deanna Clayton
Randi Solin and Nicole Birkholzer sit down for an interview with artist Deanna Clayton.
In December of 2020 Randi Solin and Gallery Manager Nicole Birkholzer sat down to do a zoom interview with one of our new artists Deanna Clayton.
Using the Pate Verde technique and a unique electroplated bath to organically grow copper on her glass work Deanna’s work seems to defy gravity and physics.
This vibrant orange-red vessel created by Dianna Clayton is truly one of a kind. Created using the pate verde technique this vessel has subtly textured surface reminiscent of waves. The top of this vessel is suspended by copper that grows in an electroplated bath onto the piece. Delicate, ethereal, and unique this vessel is sure to add beauty to any space. This vessel is 8in in diameter and 4.5in tall.
