Saturday, February 16th: 10AM - 1PM
Come spend a few hours with the amazing glass artists of Solinglass Studios. This session is all about the basic techniques of glassblowing. Turn molten glass on a pipe and use tools, heat, gravity, and air pressure to transform it into hollow vessels such as a cup or simple vase.
Students should bring a water bottle and safety glasses (sunglasses or prescription glasses will be fine.) Cotton or wool is the best fabric to wear, closed toe, comfortable shoes and long sleeves are recommended. Feel free to bring a light snack

Just 2 Miles North of Downtown Brattleboro, Vermont
Fire Arts Vermont is a collaboration between Natalie Blake Studios and Randi Solin of Solinglass. Just outside of downtown Brattleboro, Fire Arts has open studios for both artists and a retail gallery of work from local artists. Live demonstrations of the artists' process in both glass and clay, as well as regular classes, offer collectors, travelers, and the local community unique opportunities to become actively involved in the creation of these ancient fire arts.
